ADD WARMTH BY PAINTING THE ENTRYWAY TO YOUR APARTMENT

Moving can be exciting and/or hectic. My last move was a nightmare! I did not see my exact apartment until signing day and unfortunately it was not love at first sight when I moved into my new apartment. My new place was not available until 3 weeks after I moved from my old home. What I thought would be a 3 week adventure turned into a nightmare. I happily signed a 6 month lease and decided to make do with the new place. I will likely stay for about 18 months.

Making minor changes like painting will make my stay more enjoyable. Some people cringe at the thought of making any changes to a rental home. I believe in customizing every living space to make it yours. Heck, I pay enough for rent and I am going to create a place that I will love!

I decided that it would be fun to do a series of apartment friendly upgrades to make my place more like home. I’ve had tannish color walls for the last 13 years so this time I opted for white. The only problem is that the walls have a purple tint so for the first time ever, I am painting my home. Starting with the entryway was the perfect was to test out my new color scheme.

I painted my entry way GOLD! Yes, Gold! This is Fools Gold by Glidden and it adds warmth and enriches my living space. I really love the transformation and haven’t decided if I will pant the dining room, add wallpaper or fabric paneling. We shall see!
