Italy Towel Clean | Best way to Exfoliate

I love soaking in a nice piping hot bubble bath. Taking a long hot bath is on the long list of things that I love. It’s relaxing and gives me alone time with myself plus it’s therapeutic. I light my candles, turn off the lights and turn on some jazz or old school R&B, lay back and soak. That’s the beginning of my preparation for Italy Towel Exfoliation. You haven’t experienced clean until you have gotten Italy Towel Clean.

Exfoliation is the removal of dead layers of skin cells from your body. This helps to rejuvenate your skin and leaves your body feeling clean and smooth. There are many ways that you can exfoliate by using body scrubs, loofahs, chemicals and with other exfoliating methods. My all time favorite method is using an Italy Towel and Castile bar soap.

Public Bathing

If you have been to a public bath house or Korean Spa you may be familiar with this method and have experienced the awesomeness of Italy Towel Exfoliation. At the bath house and spa you would typically shower , then sit in the Sauna, Steam Room or Soaking Tub to prepare your body for exfoliation and then a lady will wash you. Yes, you heard me right or should I say scrub you? They vigorously and thoroughly scrub you EVERYWHERE. Yes, even there. Yes it’s weird but afterwards you are the cleanest you’ve ever been, if you are a newbie.

Use at Home

Ok, obviously you don’t have to deal with the awkwardness of  public bathing to experience the fabulous-ness of Italy Towel Scrubbing. Often called Korean Italy Towels, you can pick some up at your local Korean Market or do like I did and order them on Amazon. After Soaking I rub the castile bar soap directly on my skin then put my hand in the towel which is designed like a mitt get to scrubbing. I scrub in a circular motion. The scrubbing feels good, like scratching an itch you didn’t even know was there. Afterwards, I simply stand up turn in the shower and rinse my body. You will see a bunch of grimy dead skin left behind in the tub. Yes, I know it’s gross but it’s better off you then on, right? I love that Castile soap is an Olive Oil based soap so you don’t have to worry about it drying your skin out. I do this at least once a week.

Couples

For best results I suggest turning exfoliation into a couples thing. Having someone else exfoliate your body feels a lot better than doing it alone. Think about how good it feels to get a massage or having your scalp brushed. Now think about doing those things yourself vs someone else doing them. Take turns exfoliating one another. Then shower to rinse off. This is very relaxing. You will earn some extra points with your mate if you just plan to give the exfoliating session as a special treat. There is nothing like having a squeaky clean body to play with before bed. (Wink, Wink).

Children

Don’t leave your children out, they can benefit for exfoliation as well. I have used exfoliation methods on my kids for years by making brown sugar and honey scrubs. I later added the Italy Towel to their cleansing routine. They both have eczema but have not had any flare-ups since they were small. This is because I use exfoliation as a preventative maintenance method. Even if your child doesn’t have any skin allergies, I just know you want to keep them as clean as possible; just so they can go back out and jump in puddles.

Yes, I love using the Korean Towels but it is not the only effective form of exfoliation. We will discuss other great methods in a later post. Let us know if you decide to give the Italy Towel a try. Don’t forget to subscribe for new post sent directly to your inbox.
