D.I.Y. Natural Lip Scrub

Marsha Willis LivingThe frigid temperatures can be harsh on your lips during the winter so it’s important that you do all that you can do to keep them protected from the cold weather. Weather can often leave us with dry cracked lips so I’m going to show you how to make a D.I.Y. Natural Lip Scrub to start rejuvenating those skin cells.

What you’ll need

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Put ingredients in a small container then mix. Wet your lips with warm water using your hands or a face towel.  Place a clean finger into lip scrub and gently rub on lips in a circular motion. Once done clean off the scrub with a warm towel. Apply your favorite lip balm.  Store your lip scrub in a cool area.  Note: if you want a smaller batch; just use 1 teaspoon of the brown and white sugar and honey and 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil.

Having dry cracked lips is not fun. Also a lip scrub will help you to get all of the built up lip balms, glosses and Lip sticks that you wear every day. This will leave your lips smooth and will keep your lipstick from looking clumpy. The ingredient will help to gently exfoliate, heal and lock moisture in your lips. I exfoliate my lips every day.
