The Nutcracker has been in town all month and today concluded their performances at the absolutely stunning Muriel Kauffman Theatre | Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. This was an all new production directed by Devon Carney. The performance was beautiful, fresh, modern, classic and entertaining. I loved how they mixed various levels of dancers, dances of various cultures; even some modern day hip hop. I had the privilege of being able to see this beautiful production on Christmas Eve. I can’t want to go back next year. I love being able to get all dressed up and decided to show my ballet friendly fashion for my day that the ballet.

I LOVE dresses! This very pretty lace chevron dress is perfect for the ballet. The dressy but not too dressy effect is holiday perfect. I paired it with a suede pointy pumps that buckles at the ankles and a warm wool coat. A pair of open toed shoes would be a perfect alternative shoe choice.

I created these pretty spirals using my Remington wand curls. To recreate this look stretch hair using a blow dryer with the comb attachment and wrap hair closest to scalp around the widest part of the wand down to where the smallest part of the wand is at your ends.

I added soft makeup to complete my look. The ballet is not the place for bold makeup looks even if it is during the holiday. A red lip is however appropriate. I recommend saving the glitter and dramatic false lashes for New Years.
